Breast Enhancement

Many women wish to have bigger breasts. Especially after pregnancies there can be a loss of volume of the breast, because the tissue shrinks too much.

Operation
The operation will be done under general anaesthesia. An incision is made in the fold under the breast.  The saline or silicone implant can be put behind the gland or behind the muscle. The position of the implant depends on the tissue coverage of the individual. Complications are rare, but never can be excluded.

Post Operation

The body will form a capsule around the implant, which is a normal reaction to the presence of a foreign body. However occasionally the capsule can contract  and in extreme cases can cause the breast to feel hard and painful. It may also lead to disfigurement, where the capsule surrounding one implant contracts and the other does not. Bleeding, infections or scars can be treated well. Sometimes there is a numbness in the area after the operation, which normally disappears completly.

Post Operative Care
A tight sports bra should be worn for 6 weeks together with a breast belt. Smoking, sport, sauna and strong sun should be avoided for 6 weeks. It is still possible to breast feed. The implants have a lifetime guarantee by the manufacturer. After two weeks you will be able to go to work again. Normally your insurance will not cover the cost.
